TED-ED Goes to School

TED-ED Goes to School

Mar 14, 2012

TED GOES TO SCHOOL: TED videos have become brain candy for many of us. Now another good idea: TED-Ed, a collection animated videos less than 10 minutes long, based on lessons taught by teachers. This isn't a comprehensive curriculum a la Khan but ideas that aim to fire students' imagination and curiosity. TED-Ed currently has a designated YouTube channel with neither pre-roll ads nor advertisers inappropriate for students. The full TED-Ed site will launch in April and will include other tools. In the meantime, if you're curious about how a cockroach's brain works or what symbiosis is all about, check out the first couple of TED-Ed videos.
