TeachersPayTeachers Making School Pay Off

TeachersPayTeachers Making School Pay Off

MAKING SCHOOL PAY OFF: Humongous high-five to Georgia kindergarten teacher extraordinaire, Deanna Jump, who earned +$200K in the past year--including a sweet $53K just in August--from TeachersPayTeachers, for materials she has created for teaching kindergarten. Two years ago, a school team member tipped her off to the site. Now Deanna, who has 4,000 followers on TPT offers more than 60 items, none priced above $10 apiece. Yep, she blogs, offering a blend of free goodies, advice and anecdotes from class life with her 22 students. Her hottest seller? A $10 packet of posters that delightfully translates the Common Core requirements into kindergarten-friendly terms. She buys from TPT, too, snapping up materials from Babbling Abby, Cara Carroll and teammate Kim Adsit. Sharing her earnings matters, too: Deanne's funding a scholarship at the school her teenager attends as well as buying tech gear for teachers at her school. By anybody's math, that adds up to huge value.
