Smithsonian Ed Airs 'Shout Online' on Water

Mar 6, 2012

EXPERTISE NOT REQUIRED: Science teachers, ever wish you could bring leading scientists straight to the classroom? Here’s your chance. Stay tuned to the Shout Online Conference Series from Smithsonian Education to view webinars from world-class environmental experts. The first in this year’s series, “Water Matters,” began Feb. 7–8 and included opinions from marine biologists to a music archivists. The subject matter is serious: “the impact of rising nitrogen levels on water quality” and “innovative housing designs in post-Katrina New Orleans.” Happily there are “Teacher Preview Sessions” to ensure your classroom is ready to take full advantage of the experts on hand. More live sessions are scheduled for March 26-27 and May 16-17. A full run-down of previous webinars can be found here.
