SEED GRANTS: A $24.6 million federal grant under the Supporting Effective Educators Development (SEED) program has been awarded to the National Writing Project ($11.3M), Teach for America ($8.3M), and the New Teacher Center ($4.98M). This competitive grant was directed at non-profit projects that improve student outcomes, supported by "at least moderate evidence" to recruit and provide professional PD for teachers and principals.
