Samsung begins first classroom pilot in Memphis City Schools

Sep 28, 2012

MEMPHIS SOUL: Samsung is piloting its first Samsung Smart School Solution for a sixth-grade math class at Geeter Middle School in Memphis, marking the company's first deployment of the program in the States. Among the perks: 35 GALAXY Note 10.1 tablets, a 65-inch interactive whiteboard and a wireless printer. (Aren't the latter two sort of on their way out?) Local news outlet, The Commercial Appeal, reports a warm reception from teachers and parents, and also points out that the program is being closely studied by the Samsung team from South Korea, where the program has been piloted for some time.
