RTTT for personalized learning grants opens

APPLY NOW: DUE Oct. 30: Applications for $400 million in Race to the Top grants, aimed at fostering personalized learning programs. The Education Department has released the final version of its district-wide competition. The government expects to make 15 to 25 awards, each of which will be worth between $5 million and $40 million and extend over four years. The government received 475 comments on the draft proposal for the competition.Partnerships between districts, and the private sector (including for & not-for-profit organizations) are a plus. So too are programs that aren't just aimed at boosting grades but that support social and emotional development.Interested districts should submit an "intention to apply" by August 30 so they will hear about webinars to help applicants.
