SCIENTIFIC METHOD: The Next Generation Science Standards, a consortium of 26 states (so far) and a host of accredited councils and associations, are working on what essentially looks to be a Common Core for science, covering kindergarten through high school. This initiative, started in June 2011, is expected to release its final draft in Fall 2012 after a lengthy back-and-forth process, which its very own development and timetable chart literally conveys.
