Nov 30, 2011

A DOSE OF REALITY: Lively Google+ discussion set off by history teacher and edtech blogger Richard Byrne (of FreeTech4Teachers) on the disconnect between education reform and the public school reality. "The assumption that too many reformers make is that every student will automatically be engaged in learning by the new method." As your dutiful (edtech) neighborhood watch patrol, we couldn't agree more. One feisty comment: "many reformers think that change and confrontation are synonymous. It is their belief that they must 'fight' the system and everyone that even mildly supports what works or is required within the context of the public school system." What's your take? Let us know!
