Coursehorse raises $500k to help find, organize local classes

Oct 11, 2012

COURSEHORSE: $500K to New York-based CourseHorse in seed round from New York Angels, Golden Seeds, NYC Seed, and Harbor Road Ventures, and angels, reports The Next Web. The startup is hitting the "personal interest education market" by allowing users to search for and manage all sorts of classes in their local community, from education-focused to the strictly recreational. It currently has 20,000 classes from over 500 providers. CourseHorse debuted the service in New York City back in April 2011, and plans to expand to Los Angeles and three other cities.
