MAKING THE GRADE: An update on Hewlett's competition for automated essay grading: leading the pack (as of last Friday) is 28-year-old Martin O' Leary, a rather interesting (research) fellow who predicts how glaciers move for his day job and has previously helped map dark matter in a Kaggle competition for NASA.
