Beta Tool: Go Cast.it

Oct 17, 2012

BETA GO CAST.IT is reimagining online video collaboration -- and this time around without those pesky Adobe Flash updates or crashes. Taking advantage of the latest HTML5 web standards, Go Cast.it allows up to seven people to participate in live video meetings from a web browser. Participants can also add unlimited notepads and whiteboards to the meeting that persist at the given URL -- simply bookmark the page and meeting notes stay in one place. Go Cast.it is currently gauging its MOOC-worthiness by supporting the Designing a New Learning Environment course which started this week on Venture Lab. Current beta users are constrained to Chrome or Firefox and must download a simple plug-in to get started, but Go Cast.it promises these requirements will expire in the near future.
