MILPARK EDUCATION: Apollo Global, a subsidiary of Apollo Education Group, has paid ZAR 265 million (approx. US $25.6 million) for an 81% consolidated interest in Milpark Education, a South African provider of campus-based and online vocational training for adults. Milpark Education was founded in 1997 and offers degrees in various business-related fields, as well as short courses in executive training and leadership development. "We look forward to exploring other opportunities to serve students on the continent of Africa, which hosts seven of the fastest growing economies in the world," writes Apollo Education Group's CEO, Greg Cappelli, in a press release.
