PROJECTED DEAL: Entangled Group, a San Francisco-based company that incubates, invests in and consults for education startups, acquired education consulting and design firm ProjectEd on January 1, 2019, according to Entangled CEO and co-founder Paul Freedman. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
ProjectEd provides product and visual design as well as consulting services to education companies and nonprofits. The firm was founded by former employees at Amplify, a curriculum and assessment company. In 2015, Amplify created a team to support the XQ Institute and The Super School Project, and in 2016 the team spun out separately as ProjectEd.
Freedman says bringing ProjectEd to Entangled “broadens our capability to give advice and be an implementation partner” with the companies and schools it works with.
