​Educational Games Startup Yogome Raises $26.9M to Expand Reach into East Asia

YOGOME, a Mexico and San Francisco-based startup that makes educational games for children, has raised $26.9 million in a Series B funding round led by Exceed Capital Partners. Additional investors include Seaya Ventures, Insight Venture Partners and Variv Capital.

The company currently offers more than 2,000 games and videos for learners ages four to ten, and claims to have nearly 6 million users, mostly located in the US, Latin America and Southeast Asia. With the latest raise, Yogome plans to add more academic content and expand its consumer base to the Philippines and East Asia, focusing on growing users in China, Japan and Korea, according to a company announcement.
