Would You Ask Alexa for Parenting Tips for Your Toddlers?

Dec 12, 2017

ASK ALEXA: “Alexa, may you please give me a bedtime Vroom for Sally?” Alexa can now dish out advice to parents looking for ways they can incorporate early-childhood educational activities in their family life. The Bezos Family Foundation, headed by the parents of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, unveiled plans to integrate Vroom, a collection of tips and activities designed for parents and their young children, into Alexa, the virtual assistant used in Amazon Echo.

Funded by the Bezos Family Foundation, Vroom aims to help parents “turn everyday family routines, like bathtime or dinnertime, into brain building moments,” according to a spokesperson. One activity, for example, suggests that parents ask kids to match leaves to the tree they came from while they’re on a stroll.
