A COMMON PATH: AcademixDirect, which provides marketing services to help higher-ed institutions recruit and enroll students, has acquired Burlingame, Calif.-based PathSource, which offers a career navigation app. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2004, AcademixDirect claims to have helped more than 12 million students, according to the press release. The company gets a cut of tuition from universities for every student it helps to enroll, Xconomy reports.
