Pearson Looks to Sell Indian Online Tutoring Service, TutorVista, to Byju’s

BYJU’S BUY: Pearson’s looking to shed more weight: TutorVista, an India-based provider of online tutoring services that the publisher acquired for $139 million, is in “advanced talks” to sell parts of its assets to Byju’s, according to The Economic Times. Byju’s, an India-based developer of subject-based and test-prep apps, has raised $204 million in venture funding from the likes of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Sequoia Capital.
