BloomBoard Partnership Gives Teachers Graduate-Level Credit for Micro-Credentials

Mar 28, 2017

BLOOMBOARD, an online professional development platform for teachers, is partnering with four universities so teachers who complete micro-credentials can earn graduate-level credit. The universities are Brandman University, Fresno Pacific University, Portland State University and University of the Pacific.

BloomBoard first launched its micro-credentialing platform in 2015 through a partnership with nonprofit Digital Promise. A competency-based learning platform, BloomBoard asks educators seeking a micro-credential to submit work samples, videos and other projects in order to complete the program. “Upon confirmation that the micro-credential has been earned, the educator can complete the university’s process for applying for non-degree bearing graduate-level credit,” a press announcement reads.
