Quizlet Adds New Study Plan Feature to Help Students Study Smarter

Mar 9, 2017

BEYOND FLASHCARDS: Quizlet, an online study tool for students, is getting a major update this week with the release of Quizlet Learn, a new feature that promises to not only help students study, but also understand how to study. With the free tool, students create a set flashcards, set their test date and Quizlet Learn will generate a study session plan leading up to the exam. To keep students on track, the app also sends text message reminders and allows students to monitor their own progress.

The company says the feature, which is the most significant addition to the product since its 2012 app store launch, was inspired by teacher and student feedback. “We’d hear from teachers that they wished their students had more effective tools to help them study in ways that are pedagogically sound,” CEO Matthew Glotzbach says. “And from students, we’d hear that they wanted more efficient ways to learn to maximize studying time.” Quizlet Learn aims to solve both problems.

The product is available now on iOS, and coming shortly to Android and Web.
