Enterprise Language Learning Startup Lingo Live Raises $5.2 Million

LINGO LIVE, a New York-based startup offering an online marketplace of language instructors, has raised $5.2 million in a Series A round led by Owl Ventures. Founded in 2014, the company tailors its offerings to the corporate world and counts Eventbrite, Holiday Inn and Twitter among its customers. Lingo Live claims it has more than 180 coaches working with “thousands” of students across 27 countries in its press release.

On top of an earlier $1.1 million seed round, Lingo Live has now raised over $6.3 million. Previous investors Alpine Meridian Ventures, Fresco Capital, and Entrepreneurs Expansion Fund contributed to this latest round.
