LET MY DATA GO: A group of higher ed policy experts, lobbyists and academics sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Education requesting better and more actionable data about federal financial aid. The department disburses $130 billion in aid for higher ed programs, but the signatories say students, policymakers and the general public are “in the dark about the outcomes of this vital investment.” The letter, addressed to Education Secretary John B. King, Jr., includes signatures from the Association of Public & Land-Grant Universities and the Center on Education and the Workforce.
