A NEW DAY: Workday, the Pleasanton, Calif.-based enterprise software provider for HR and finance, has launched its new spin on the traditional student information system (SIS). Workday Student has been in development since 2013, and the company has rolled out components of the SIS over the past three years.
The full solution released this week includes applications for student recruiting, admissions, curriculum management, student records, academic advising, financial aid and student financials. Rather than unbundling higher education, Workday is “betting on the unified platform,” the company tells Inside Higher Ed.
