Cengage and Excelsior Partner on Alternative Credit Programs

Jun 29, 2016

BARGAIN DEGREES: Excelsior College will soon offer two new collections of self-paced online courses that students can take for credit toward a degree. In a partnership with Cengage Learning, Excelsior has developed online programs for an associate’s degree in criminal justice and an MBA, which will be available to students in March 2017. The programs will be delivered online through Cengage’s Learning Objects Difference Engine platform and include a summative assessment developed by Excelsior’s Center for Educational Measurement.

For a price of $400-$550, students will have access to each digital course and its college credit exam and, upon successful completion, they will earn college credit for use towards a degree program at Excelsior or for transfer.
