Mar 23, 2016

TOUGH TOPICS: Newseum has debuted a new suite of online resources for educators to go over the events and coverage of the September 11, 2001 attacks with their students. The project on the museum's educational named "Freedom in the Balance," delves into the tension between First Amendment rights and public safety through examples from Newseum's collection and a quiz titled "What's your freedom type?" The Washington, D.C.-based museum will also hold an open house for teachers on April 9th where they can participate in workshops and museum tours to learn more.
