​Zulama Raises $200K in Funding to Scale Game Based Learning

ZULAMA: Pittsburgh-based Zulama has raised $200,000 in funding, according to an SEC filing. Founded in 2009, Zulama provides high school students with online courses on subjects they’re passionate about (such as video game design and programming) enabling schools to offer high-quality career and college prep courses. Zulama claims to have measured evidence of schools with improvement in statewide rankings, fewer dropouts and behavioral problems and improved student math and reading proficiency levels.
