FLIPCLASS, a marketplace for home tutors, has raised a $1 million round of funding from Blume Ventures and S. Chand and Co. The Bengaluru, India-based company had, in its founding year of 2014, raised $250,000 from LetsVenture, an online crowdfunding platform. FlipClass claims to have an active database of 4,000 students and 10,000 tutors and to have delivered more than 200,000 hours of tutoring.
