FILLING A GAP: According to a 2015 survey by Samsung, 90 percent of teachers believe that technology is essential to the success of their classrooms, but nearly two-thirds of those same teachers do not believe they've received adequate training to technologically equip their classrooms. A 2015 TES Global survey found that 38 percent of the teachers who do integrate tech tools into their classrooms research these tools in their free time. Now, according to the Hechinger Report, the professional development industry is populating with nonprofits and teacher-founded companies like BetterLesson that aim to school teachers in using technology every day in their classrooms.
