Deans for Impact Finds Few Educator Preparation Programs Have Access to Student Data

WHAT DATA? Deans for Impact has conducted an evaluation of 24 government educator preparation programs and found that just six had access to data on their educators' students' achievement, Politico reports. In response, Deans for Impact has drafted a policy brief advocating for states to better their data systems and make them more accessible. The brief also argues for outcomes-focused certification that rewards data-driven programs and educators.
