OH SNAP: Is it possible to use Snapchat fruitfully in the classroom? Though the app's "hugely popular with kids" while simultaneously terrifying to adults, Canadian educator George Couros says he's found a way that educators can use this media-messaging app to communicate with school communities. Specifically by leveraging Snapchat's "Stories" feature, Couros argues that teachers can show what a day in school looks like, while also deleting the “permanency” of the pictures/videos online.
"I really think we need to start paying more attention to things like Snapchat and Vine, and try to not just understand these apps but also try to understand why they are so appealing to so many," Couros writes.
