Two Edtech Companies Make the List of Most Funded Startups by State

Feb 4, 2016

EDTECH DELEGATES: Two edtech companies won best-in-class for their states in 2015; they’ve received more funding than any other startup in the state. According to the venture capital database CB Insights, Duolingo, in Pennsylvania, ranks 28th with $83.3 million in funding. Louisiana-based Kickboard, with $6.8 million in equity funding, is last.

To create the list, CB Insights looked at rounds that disclosed equity funding. Only companies that have raised at least $5 million were taken into consideration. With this criteria, Hawaii and Alaska do not have representatives in this list.

Take a look at the map with all companies.
