Michelle King to Become New LAUSD Superintendent

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER SUPERINTENDENT: Announced last Wednesday, former educator Michelle King will take over as superintendent of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) when current superintendent Ramon Cortines wraps his role in June 2016. Having worked in the district for 31 years, King worked her way up through the district as a teacher, and later as an assistant principal, principal, chief administrator of secondary instruction, local district superintendent, chief of staff to the superintendent, senior deputy superintendent, and chief deputy superintendent.
