Registration is Open for the First Calculus World Cup

Dec 14, 2015

GET YOUR MATH ON: It may be the first ever e-sports event for mathematicians, with $70,000 in prizes on the line. Organized by National Taiwan University (NTU) and Taiwanese startup BoniO Inc., the Calculus World Cup 2016 takes place February 15 - 22, 2016. The competition will be hosted by BoniO’s educational online social gaming platform PaGamO, and will feature first-year university calculus curriculum. Currently enrolled university undergraduate and graduate students from anywhere in the world may register teams of one to three students; the top 12 teams will travel to Taipei for the finals in April.

PaGamO was created by National Taiwan University engineering professor Ping-Cheng Yeh. In 2014, the game won the first annual Reimagine Education award for innovation in higher education.
