Hullabalu Raises $2.5M in Seed Funding

Nov 10, 2015

HULLABALU, an interactive story platform, has raised $2.5 million in seed funding, according to a press release. Technicolor Ventures, Vayner RSE, SparkLabs Global, Rothenberg Ventures and 645 Ventures joined return backers Great Oaks VC, SV Angel, Scout Ventures and Liberty City. Nasir "Nas" Jones, Carmelo Anthony and Joanne Wilson also invested. The New-York-based company also announced its fifth book, Pan, an extension of its iPad app in which students drive the story by playing with different elements on the screen. The company uses an engine of its own creation to turn Photoshop files into interactive scenes, enabling it to produce full-fledged stories in less than a month. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
