ZUCK’S BUCKS: Where did the $120 million that Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan pledged in 2014 to improve education across the San Francisco Bay Area go? They include public school districts like San Francisco USD, charter organizations including KIPP and Rocketship, and nonprofits such as NewSchools Venture Fund, Teach for America and EducationSuperHighway. In a blog post published today, Startup:Education broke down its philanthropic efforts according to the following categories: school leaders, local districts, personalized learning, broadband and college success.
