Pocket Points Raises $575K to Keep Students Engaged

Jul 30, 2015

POCKET POINTS: Pocket Points has raised $575K to grow their mobile application that rewards students for not using their phones during class. Developed by a California State University, Chico student, Pocket Points offers discounts at local shops and restaurants. According to Time, “When students arrive at their lectures, they open the app then lock their phone. The app then measures how long they go before checking their phone again. The longer it stays locked, the more points they get.”
