LittleBits Raises $44.2M to Make Modular Electronics

LITTLEBITS: $44.2 million to New York, NY-based LittleBits, in a Series B round led by DFJ Growth. Alternative Investment Partners, Grishin Robotics, Morgan Stanley and Wamda Capital also participated, as did previous investors Foundry Group, Khosla Ventures, True Ventures, Two Sigma Ventures and VegasTechFund. LittleBits makes modular electronic pieces that can be combined to build robots and products. Over 8,000 students in 70 countries have used the company’s kits.
