Andela Raises Funding to Teach Coding in Developing Countries

ANDELA: New York, NY-based Andela raised an undisclosed amount (“well over $10 million,” according to TechCrunch) in a Series A round led by Spark Capital. Existing investors Omidyar Network and Learn Capital also participated. Founded by Jeremy Johnson, who also founded 2U, Andela began offering coding courses in Lagos, Nigeria in June 2014.
