MathCrunch Raises $3.5M to Provide Students Mobile Tutoring

May 12, 2015

MATHCRUNCH: MathCrunch, an on-demand mobile app that provides tutoring for High School and College students, has just landed $3.5M in funding from Slow Ventures, SherpaCapital, Index Ventures, Formation 8 and FLOODGATE. The San Francisco-based startup connects students with online math tutors. Users (who must be 13 or older) can attach photos of a tricky math problem, message with tutors, and go back to see what they learned in previous sessions. Available on Google Play and the App Store, MathCrunch costs $12 for 30 minutes of tutoring, $22 for 60 minutes, and $40 for 120 minutes.
