BETTER BLENDED: A picture is worth a million words, but a video of what blended learning in action is priceless. At least that’s what BetterLesson hopes, with the release of 53 videos from 11 blended learning Master Teachers. Teachers hail from both districts and charter schools such as DC Public Schools, Los Angeles Unified School District and Aspire, practicing blended learning in a variety of environments. Through these videos, teachers share strategies and structures for creating a blended learning classroom. Topics range from grouping systems for personalized instruction, routines and rituals, and openings or closings. The company hopes to continue to adding videos and resources from these teachers so that they can “break the practices down into an implementable strategy or package,” for other teachers to follow, says Alex Grodd, the company’s CEO.
