Google Releases Free 'YouTube Kids App'

Feb 23, 2015

NOW SHOWING ON AN APP NEAR YOU: Like watching YouTube videos with your students? Today, Google released the YouTube Kids App, free in the United States on Google Play and in the App Store. According to the Google blog, the app narrows video searches to focus on kid-appropriate content and includes series from the likes of National Geographic Kids and Reading Rainbow. Children can browse channels and playlists in four main categories--Shows, Music, Learning and Explore--while parents or teachers can control the viewing experience with a timer that limits viewing time, search settings, and more. Read here to find out more--Bill Nye and Mother Goose are only a click away.
