​XueXiBao Raises $20M for Automated Homework Help

XUEXIBAO: $20 million to Beijing-based XueXiBao in a Series B round led by SoftBank China Venture Capital and returning investor GSR Ventures. The XueXiBao app uses optical-character recognition technology to offer answers and suggestions to homework questions uploaded by middle and high school students, claiming 85-95% accuracy within six seconds. The company recently began to offer a paid Q&A feature for students to ask teachers questions via voice message, according to TechCrunch.
