BEST IN CLASS: If Forbes' 30 Under 30 Education list left you wondering where the actual educators are, Rick Hess has you covered. The education policy wonk has released his latest Edu-Scholar Public Influence rankings, which factor in press mentions, "book points" and Amazon rankings to determine the 200 most influential university scholars in the U.S. This year Diane Ravitch takes the top spot, followed by Stanford's Linda Darling-Hammond and Harvard's Howard Gardner. In terms of university affiliation, Stanford led the list with 22 scholars, followed by Harvard (18) and Columbia (14). Overall, not much dramatic difference in the top 20 list from last year's list.
