Low Internet in Rural Districts? Combine School Buses with Portable WiFi

WIFI ON WHEELS: Here’s an idea for your students’ WiFi woes: if they have little or no internet connection at home, load up a school bus with a router and park it in a central location, where students can come make use of the WiFi. That’s what the Coachella Valley Unified District in the Southern California desert is trying to do, as Nichole Dobo of The Hechinger Report explores this week on KQED’s Mindshift.
