Nov 20, 2014

ZIPFIAN ACADEMY: Galvanize, a Denver-based startup that operates campuses for tech and entrepreneurship education, has acquired San Francisco-based Zipfian Academy, which offers a 12-week data science bootcamp that cost $16,000. Terms of the cash-and-stock deal were not disclosed; Galvanize raised $18 million in June 2014. Zipfian's data science course will now be offered through Galvanize, which, through a partnership with the University of New Haven, offers an accredited Masters of Engineering in Big Data.
