Arts and Crafts Online Marketplace, Craftsy Raises $50M Series D

CRAFTSY: $50 million to Denver, CO-based Craftsy in a Series D round led by Stipes Group. Previous investors Foundry Group, Tiger Global, Adams Street Partners, Access Venture Partners and Silicon Valley Bank also participated. Founded in 2010, the company offers a marketplace of more than 550 online arts and crafts courses from art to sewing and quilting. According to the New York Times, the company has doubled its yearly revenue ever since booking $12 million in 2012. (So expect $48 million this year.) Craftsy has now raised $106 million.
