Junyo Acquires 360Ed, Expands to Orlando

Nov 11, 2014

360ED: Acquired by Junyo back through a stock purchase in March 2014; financial terms were not disclosed. Founded in 2006 by a former executive at Electronic Arts, 360Ed developed reporting tools and interactive learning courses like Conspiracy Code, a U.S. history game distributed by Florida Virtual Schools. Junyo says it has hired most of the 360Ed team, which will "continue to operate as Junyo's Orlando Studio."

Junyo currently offers a tool, EdLights, that help publishers better target their offerings to school customers. But the Menlo Park, CA-based startup has its roots in gaming, as well: co-founder Steve Schoettler was a co-founder of Zynga. More details from the Orlando Sentinel.
