Sibling Group Holdings Buys Blended Schools Network

BLENDED SCHOOLS NETWORK: Acquired in May 2014 by Austin, TX-based publicly traded holding company, Sibling Group, in May 2014. Founded in 2002 by superintendents in Pennsylvania, Blended Schools Network (BSN) sells over 190 online courses on K-12 and professional subjects to more than 160 district and school customers. A typical course costs $2,500 for a district-wide license and can be delivered via most popular learning management systems, including Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas and Desire2Learn. BSN "has historically generated around $3M in annual revenues," according to the press release. Other Sibling acquisitions include ClassChatter and PLC Consultants.
