EducationSuperhighway Offers Free Network 'Coaching' to Districts

Jul 24, 2014

TECH SUPPORT WE ALL NEED: Is your school's network slow and unreliable--and you have no idea why? EducationSuperhighway (ESH) is offering free consultations to help districts get sufficient broadband (100 Mbps today and 1 Gbps by 2017, according to the nonprofit) so educators and students can access the online resources and tools they need. An ESH "coach" will work remotely with district staff to conduct a needs assessment and develop action plans for how to best upgrade equipment and services within an allotted budget. "If the situation warrants, we can send people out there," Nell Hurley, ESH's Director of Marketing and Communications, tells EdSurge. Interested folks can apply here. Now, if only these folks can help with our lackluster connections at home...
