Udemy Launches Social Innovation Grants

Jul 16, 2014

DOING GOOD FOR THE DO-GOODERS: This morning, Udemy, the marketplace for learning and teaching online, launched Udemy Social Innovation. The program aspires to support nonprofits and entrepreneurs by offering monetary grants to help them create internal Udemy courses for their employees and open courses accessible to the broader public.

Udemy will give out 12 grants over six months, totaling $30,000, which can be used for equipment and space necessary to produce a course. To date, Udemy reports that 22,000 nonprofit employees worldwide have used its courses to improve their skills.
