StudyBlue Sees Green, Raising $1.7M

STUDYBLUE: $1.7 million to Madison, WI-based StudyBlue from existing investors Great Oaks Venture Capital, the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation and StudyBlue chairman Steve Wallman, reports Xconomy. The company, which built an app that combines flashcards, quizzes, study guide and sharing features, has now raised over $20 $17 million. (It last raised $9 million in January 2013.) Company CEO, Becky Splitt says the app currently has over 5.5 million users, and shared findings about mobile learning trends with EdSurge earlier this year.
